MAKEUP REVOLUTION VELVET LIP LACQUERS

So today I have a post on one of the hottest trends over the last few years, lip lacquers. Whether you like matte or gloss, these lipstick hybrids have been EVERYWHERE!


I have a few high and low end lip lacquers but love trying new ones out. I spotted these on Instagram and had to find them. I saw them in Superdrug for a bargain £3. I got Black Heart from a friend as a gift and thought it looked very purple like in the tube. I was surprised when I got home to find that it's purple based but it's very much a black on the lips.


It was quite hard to get pictures that showed the true colour of the products. They change drastically in some lights.

The next one I have is called Keep Lying For You. The names are ridiculous. This is a mauve dusty pink and my goodness it is gorgeous. It reminds me of Too Faced Liquified Lipstick in Fig only this is a lighter version.

One thing I love is the applicator, it is very ordinary but doesn't pick up too much product. These really are fool proof. On the website there are 11 shades but I really wish there was a nude of some form. Every shade is very bold and vibrant, which I love but not everyone will.


As you can see in the swatch, Black Heart has a purple base to it. Still stunning though. I absolutely love these lacquers. They dry matte, dry fast but not without giving you a few seconds to work with it. They do come off a bit with eating but it's very minimal. I often find with matte liquid lipsticks that you can get the ring of doom on the inner part of your lip but I didn't get that with these babies. I genuinely love them.

Hey. Well the other week I saw Shaaanxo instagram a picture of her lashes using a Collection mascara. I thought wow that's pretty impressive for a product under £5. This mascara claims to curl, volumise, lengthen, condition and that it's long wearing. I can tell you now this is all true. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms | JanBlog #20

Hey guys, Well I ran out this morning to grab the new Revlon Colorburst Balms as I have seen them on every American YouTube video and blog so I needed one at least, or them all. Now they had the 'Just Bitten Kissable', 'Lacquer Balms' and 'Matte Balm' in stock, for now. They seemed to be going fast. I really didn't like any of the others and my hand was full of swatches. Sometimes I just get very focused on particular shades, like today. I have this bad habit of going for bright pinks and deep reds lately and everything I buy lip wise lately is cool toned haha. How pretty do they look? I got 'Standout' which is the deep red and 'Showy' which is the vibrant pink. Both cool toned hehe. Wet N Wild Mega Liner

Hey loves, As you may have guessed, Wet N Wild is available to buy in Ireland now. One of our supermarkets here called Dunnes Stores carries it. They booted Essence out and got Wet N Wild in. For those who are new to liquid liner or just prefer gel, try this if you can. As you can the brush is short but it isn't as pointed as some others I have seen. My issue with liquid liner is getting a grip with the brush so it's firm but still moves. I don't think for me, as a beginner, a long brush or handle is ideal. I love this product. The handle and brush make it so easy for you to have a good grip. The colour range isn't the largest but I chose turquoise for the Spring. I found two coats of this on the lid made it pop and look very different. This liner is so easy to use, I even managed to get a wing. That is a huge deal, for me anyway.
