NORVINA - ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Q&A

Image
Hey loves, So last week, I think, I asked Norvina if she would answer some questions for my lovely little blog. It was a cheeky ask but she said yes and gave me an e-mail address almost instantly. Love that.  So, if you're reading this and thinking 'who is this lady?' or even worse 'what does she do?' then please take a seat and get with the programme. Norvina is the creator of all things contour, lips, eyes and concealing. If you follow her on Instagram then you will notice her constantly testing out products.  So here are the questions.. (I am still slightly fan girling) Everyone has been falling head over heels for your company. From the eyebrows to the contour kits and now liquid lipsticks.  I know you have some brushes and concealers for sale, will there be expansions with those or even into the foundation world at some point? Yes that's the ultimate goal is to expand to the entire face. We have to pace ourselves

WET N WILD LIPSTICK | SMOKIN HOT PINK

Image
I think I have an addiction to lipsticks. What an opener to this post eh? I have a few Wet N Wild lipsticks. These are a semi matte finish which is ideal because they're not too drying on the lips.  One thing I am aware with brands lately is the colour on the sticker or outside is not always true to the colour it actually is.  Excuse the chipped nail varnish in the pic. This is a raspberry red with a slight pink to it. Definitely NOT a smokin' hot pink. The packaging to these lipsticks is cheap and cheerful but for €2.99 it's no big deal.  So, that is the worst hand swatch ever haha. You can see how much of a raspberry colour it is. It is still so so pretty. I thought it would be kind of like my Maybelline 'Pink Punch' but that is definitely creamier in consistency and pinker.  I love LOVE this shade and it lasts so well on the lips. They fade nicely on the lips too, they don't fade with patches.  This review is short be

L'oreal miss manga mascara

Image
Have you ever tried something and completely hated it? Then re-tested it out and fell in love? I bought the L'oreal Miss Manga mascara, in black, at Bristol Airport and kind of didn't know to much about it other than it was hit and miss. Funnily enough a tonne of American YouTube folk I watch LOVED it, otherwise it was 50/50 reviews.  When it comes to my lashes I just don't want too much of a clump effect. If there is some then I can deal with it but I don't want that spider effect. If I can have lots of volume great, if they are long then woohoo. I am not too fussy. I think the packaging is a tad bulky but it't not too annoying. It isn't too heavy and doesn't feel cheap. This is L'oreal's first flexible, 360 type of mascara wand. I do believe there were three colours; black, turquoise and violet. I wish I had the violet one too. Maybe when I'm back in the UK.  As a blogger that reviews products constantly, I have to b

Bourjois Colorband | Mauve Baroque

Image
Oh I do love a new product release. On one of my previous posts I mentioned Bourjois had an offer on in Superdrug so this was one of the newer products released and I felt I *needed* it. Oh Lord haha. Welcome to the family Color Band hehe. On my brown eyes I love greys, greens, purples and anything taupe. This swatched was so gorgeous and it sheered out nicely. These eyeshadow/liner hybrid products can be hit and miss. I have tried quite a few from the drugstore and one that works very well is from Barbara Daly (Tesco brand). Step aside Barbara, there's a new love in town.  There is glitter to this product which some people may not like but it's not flakey or annoyingly obvious. Sometimes glitter in these kind of products can make it stiff or gritty, that is not the case. I was super impressed at the pigmentation, it is outstanding. Bourjois claim that these last 24 hours but I wouldn't be one to wear it for that long but I did wear it for 10 hours a

Top 5 Places To Photograph

This is a picture heavy post so look away now if it is not your cup of tea. I love a good day away with the camera and beautiful scenery. Some of these pictures are before I got the magical Canon 40D so yes sorry for that.  First up we have Broadway, more specifically Broadway Tower.  Have a peep at the website here. Broadway is one of the nicest villages in the Cotwolds and I believe it is hugely popular amongst the film industry.  All information here.  There are so many gorgeous tea rooms and unique stores in the village itself but my favourite thing to do is the Cotswolds Way walk. I have been through the fields, woods and end up on an open road where there is a wind turbine, The walk finishes on one side at the Broadway Tower cafe which is top dollar. Their lemon drizzle cake and tea is my fave! The walk down to the village again is superb. I will say in the Summer you are going to have cattle in the fields and sometimes it may be bulls. Walk on the wild side a

Bourjois 'Peach Club' Rouge Edition Velvet

Image
Have you ever had high hopes for something and it failed? Yeah happens frequently but I try to not put so many negative reviews on my blog. This one is different.  I recently went to Superdrug and they had an offer on Bourjois. If you spent £12 you got a free lip product. Now I have two other Rouge Edition Velvets and love one, not the other. I thought this was a really good deal so spent £12.  I actually really like the packaging to these. They're small, vibrant and easy to store. Some of the colours are gorgeous and I have heard wonderful things. I got Peach Club because the Spring will soon be here and thought it was something definitely different in my collection.  Oh man alive, this is bad. The product itself is a gorgeous colour in the packaging but it is much lighter in person and is super patchy.  You can see in my swatch it is patchy and colour wise a little darker than I expected. On the lips, it is much the same. I paired it with several li

UPDATE & WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

Image
Well, it has been a few weeks since my last post. Was I sick? Did something happen? If you follow me on my social media you will know that there was a death within my family. It happened to my dear Aunt on New Years Eve when she had a heart attack and for the next 10-14 days it was a rollercoaster of emotions and just life being a bitch, basically. In that time I got told I was unsuccessful for a permanent job in LUSH. Dare I say anything about that, I might explode. I will mention that working your ass off and being full of product knowledge still will not get you hired. Again, life is a bitch. I know that some people have a system where they have posts on the back burner to schedule should they need to but I did try that and I don't think I even promoted what I posted about. I had to unfortunately block an IP address from looking at my blog and YouTube, to the best of my ability. I have no tolerance for haters and especially when this person was a friend. Get a life and get
